Mr Mercer was the first Plastic Surgeon in the South of England to be Certified by the Royal College of Surgeons of England in Cosmetic Facial Surgery; Cosmetic Breast Surgery; Cosmetic Body Contouring Surgery and Cosmetic Periorbital Region Surgery.
Nigel Mercer divides his time between Bristol Plastic Surgery and his NHS practice, which specializes in paediatric plastic surgery and general plastic surgery. He has a national reputation for being an expert in face-lifting and has developed his own ‘short scar’ technique.
He is a founding fellow of the Faculty of Medical Leaders and Management, is the Past President of the British Association of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS 2015-16), has been President of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS), and has twice been President of the European Association of Societies of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (EASAPS).
Antonio Orlando has an excellent reputation in all aspects of cosmetic surgery including breast surgery, face lifts, eyelid surgery, nose surgery, body contouring including abdominoplasty and liposuction and other non-surgical procedures. He receives referrals from other Consultant Plastic Surgeons throughout the UK because of his expertise in nose reshaping.
Jonathon works as an NHS Consultant Plastic Surgeon specializing in burn care and general plastic surgery where he has special interests in Skin Cancer and Scarring. He is a member of the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (BAPRAS), The British and the European Burns Associations, The British Association of Hair Restoration Surgery and the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery.
Paul Townsend has a particular interest in skin cancer. He founded and ran the skin cancer clinic at Frenchay Hospital since 1992, is a member of the Melanoma Study Group and is currently Chairman of SCARF (Skin Cancer Research Fund). Here at Bristol Plastic Surgery, Paul now concentrates his skills on diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer.
Nick Reynolds studied medicine at Bristol University, and since graduating in 1994 has trained and worked all over the South West.
He entered plastic surgery in 1998 and has spent time in Frenchay Hospital in Bristol, Salisbury Hospital, Derriford Hospital in Plymouth and Morriston Hospital in Swansea. He has also worked in the plastic surgery department in the Erasmus hospital in Brussels. His two main areas of interest are skin cancer and hand surgery.
Ewan is a Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon based in Bristol and also works at North Bristol NHS Trust, Bristol University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Gloucester Royal Hospital and NHS Foundation Trust.
Ewan Wilson specialises in skin cancer care, management, surgery and reconstruction. He provides a specialist service for diagnosis, removal and reconstruction of all skin and soft tissue tumours. He does this alongside providing both surgical and non-surgical cosmetic procedures at 58 Queen Square.
John is young enough to appreciate, and take on, the new developments that benefit his patients and old enough to have enjoyed the experience of more than 32 years of a classical training and career in the NHS in London, Leicester and Bristol. Rebecca Ford is a consultant oculoplastic surgeon at Bristol Eye Hospital, where she provides a regional specialist referral service for disorders of the eyelid, the orbital and the lacrimal glands. She qualified from Oxford University Medical School in 1997 and trained in ophthalmology and oculoplastics in London, Brighton, and Birmingham.
Lisa joined us in 2016 as our Medical Aesthetician, having spent the past ten years working in New York along side top New York Cosmetic Surgeons and Dermatologists; offering non-surgical skin rejuvenation techniques & body treatments. She has gained much experience with many skin care concerns but specializes in anti-aging and problematic skin.
Pam works with top surgeons and breast care nurses in medical tattooing throughout the country. Procedures they undertake include areola tattooing after breast surgery, scar camouflage using flesh tones, scalp pigmentation for areas of hair loss or full scalp. Pam has been in the industry since 2002. She is a fully qualified, experienced practitioner in the full range of cosmetic and medical micro-pigmentation procedures for both men and women.
